- Validity: Effective April 2024, licences will be valid for 10 years, eliminating the need for renewal every four years.
Certificates of Sponsorship (CoS)
A CoS is a digital document employers issue to international hires for visa applications. There are two types:
- Undefined CoS: For in-country applications, assignable immediately by the sponsor.
- Defined CoS: For overseas applications, requested from the Home Office and typically issued within two weeks.
Eligibility Requirements for a Skilled Worker Sponsor Licence

Ensuring salaries meet thresholds, generally starting at £38,700 annually, with exceptions for certain roles and circumstances.
